Visit the most southerly point in Britain – less commercial than Land’s End (the most westerly point). Walk along the coastal path and enjoy the spectacular views. Visit Goonhilly Satellite Earth Station which beams telephone messages around the world. Just down the road is the memorial to Giuseppe Marconi commemorating the first radio signal sent across the Atlantic in 1901.
The area is well known for its shipwrecks and stories of smugglers. On a more tranquil note the mild climate makes this an ideal area for gardens: come with us to Trebah, Trengwainton, Glendurgan, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project and Tresco Abbey Gardens on the Isles of Scilly.
